About

I'm a PhD candidate at TU Delft, working at the intersection of software engineering and distributed systems under the supervision of Arie van Deursen and Burcu Özkan. My research focuses on controlled concurrency testing, Byzantine fault-tolerant protocols, and systems software — finding principled ways to expose the subtle bugs that only surface under adversarial scheduling and partial failure.

Originally from Portugal, I'm now based in the Netherlands. Outside of research, you'll usually find me cycling, sailing, or cooking anything involving bacalhau. I also build jita.space as a side project, an EVE Online companion app that keeps my engineering reflexes sharp beyond academia.
